Voodoo Child

Conceived as a visceral descent into the layers of our endangered species in denial of its nature, this solo unfolds through a series of cathartic musical Stations.

The audience is invited into an immersive circle,
gradually shaped like a giant eye ;
an organ of vision turned inward.

At its core stands a voodoo child
curious about human fragilities,
tracing a path from station to station, asking :

where have the repressed parts of our humanity taken refuge?

This solo work emerges in a world
haunted by what Agamben calls the destruction of experience
the impossibility of transmitting, receiving, or even recognising human experience within systems that fragment the self and disembody meaning.
